March Madness & Green Beer!

This week the madness begins! The NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament starts this Thursday. The games will not end until Sunday evening. For all the basketball fans and the sports betting fans, this is a must see event! The casino bars and the sports books will be full of cheering fans watching and betting on the games. When the sports books are full of cheering fans it makes for a real exciting time. A little wager on the game also makes it more exciting. This will be a very busy weekend, most of the hotels will be overflowing with guests.

Also this weekend is St. Patrick's Day. The day of the green beer, everybody being Irish, and wearing the green clothes! Many of the bars will have the green beer if you indulge that brew. Not many Irish restaurants in the hotels on the strip. But one very nice one is "Nine Fine Irishman' in the New York New York casino area. It has traditional Irish food and drinks and will be having special events all day long. They will have Celtic band performing on the Brooklyn Bridge outside of the hotel. Another fine Irish pub is "Brendan's Irish Pub" at the Orleans casino. They will be having special events all day long.

Update on the implosion of the Stardust Hotel. It should happen Tuesday, March 13th around 2am. Again, this is to try to keep the crowd of onlookers away from all the debris in the area and air.
